Resources

A roundup of my favorite people, programs + things.

I’m usually asked about my favorite tools and products I use and recommend to my clients, so I thought it would be helpful to round them up into one spot for easy access.

My rule for sharing tools and resources with you is that I have to have personally used or have used (myself or for clients) everything I mention on this page. That way, I can give an honest review and recommendation.

Many of these links are affiliate links, which means I may get a commission if you purchase.  However, none of the fees of these resources have been increased to compensate me.

Most Loved

I’m playing favorites.¬†My business relies on these tools every day to operate, so they get to go at the very top. (I hope the other tools aren’t jealous).

Welcome to my little library of people, programs, sites & software¬†I ‚̧ that can help you start or grow your online dream business.

Most Loved

Out of all the resources listed on this page, these are my absolute favorites and must-haves for running my business every day.

This is who I use for my hosting and domains. It seriously takes under 10 minutes to set up a blog with their 1-click automatic WordPress installation. Also, you only need one hosting account for all of your domains. Click this link to get a special discount off the regular price.

Freshbooks

I currently use Freshbooks for all of my invoicing and time tracking needs, and love it. I’ve went back and forth between a few different pieces of software for this, and ultimately landed on Freshbooks, because it is super reliable and affordable.

LeadPages

LeadPages is a perfect solution for those of you who run a lot of webinars, video training series or like to have separate landing pages for different opt-ins. It connects to many email list providers and even connects to GoToWebinar if you plan on running a webinar in the future. You can choose your template, change the colors and add your logo.

Getting Your Business Online

Bluehost

My recommended place to buy your hosting and domains (I like to keep everything under the same roof). Once you buy your domain and hosting package, installing WordPress is as easy as 1-click. Which leads me to my next point…

WordPress.org

Hands down the best and easiest way to get your online business up and running. Plus, there are lots of pretty themes to help you build a gorgeous starter site on a budget. My favorite places to shop for themes are bluchic.com, themeforest.net and elegantthemes.com.

Gravity Forms

To create forms of all kinds on your site – email opt-in forms, contact forms, etc.

Sales Pages + Membership Sites

Wishlist Member

I use Wishlist Member for all of my online courses, and all of my client’s online courses. It’s a WordPress plugin that can be used with any theme to create a membership site that protects your content from people who haven’t paid for your program. It integrates with your mailing list (Aweber, Mailchimp, Infusionsoft & more) and your payment processor, including Paypal.
